Sithangi (සිතැඟි) is a matrimony app for adults aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
1. Our standards
- Sithangi is only for adults aged 18 and over. Profiles created for, or showing, anyone under 18 are not allowed.
- Any content, message or behaviour that sexualises, exploits, grooms or endangers a child is strictly prohibited.
- Sharing, requesting or linking to CSAM in any form is prohibited.
2. How we prevent it
- Every profile is reviewed by our team before it becomes visible to other members.
- Date of birth is required at signup, and profiles that appear to belong to a minor are rejected or removed.
- Optional NIC (National Identity Card) verification helps confirm members' age and identity.
- Members can only message each other after both accept an interest.
3. How to report
- In the app: open the member's profile and tap the flag (Report) icon, then choose the reason.

- We review child safety reports as a priority, normally within 24 hours.
4. What we do
- Remove the content and permanently ban the accounts involved.
- Preserve relevant evidence as required by law.
- Report confirmed CSAM and child exploitation to the relevant authorities, including the Sri Lanka Police and the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA), and to international bodies such as NCMEC where applicable.
5. Compliance
Sithangi complies with Sri Lankan child protection laws and Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
